Grivensky - Martin A. 74, Johnstown, passed away January 21, 2025, at Hilltop Heights Health and Rehab Center. Born May 31, 1950, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents, Bernard and Christina (Gritz) Grivensky, infant sister, Christina, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Survived by sisters Regina (Charles) Caddy and Cynthia (David) Chapple, nephews Michael (Linda) Caddy and Matthew (Amber) Caddy and nieces Jaclyn (Jarrod) Tanner and Kristen Caddy, great niece Alyssa, great nephew Nicholas, and Aunt Molly (Grivensky) Witten and many cousins. Martin was a former employee of the City of Johnstown and former member of the Lower Yoder Fire Department. The family would like to thank the staff at Laurel Wood/Hilltop Heights, Davita Dialysis and all the ambulance services who transported Marty to and from dialysis and various other appointments, Amy and staff at Optum Care and Lisa and staff at Asera Care Hospice for the care and support they offered. Uncle Marty always had a good laugh for everyone and was considered by many to be a talented drummer. There are many memories of times spent together over the years and although the family will miss him terribly, they take solace in the fact that he rests happily and comfortably in heaven.
Friends will be received on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a service at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home by Very Reverend Matthew Baum and committal at St. Casimir’s Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to fgozogfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that charitable donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 2403 Sidney Street, Suite 205, Pittsburgh, PA, 15203.
