BEHE - Mary Louise (Grabenstein); 73, Davidsville, peacefully went home to her Lord and family on June 5, 2024. Born April 9, 1951, in Johnstown, daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Swete) Grabenstein. Preceded in death by her parents; children, Jennifer and Joshua Behe; and sister, Bonita (Grabenstein) Chervenic. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John Behe; dog, Tessa; daughters, Amanda (Behe) Milne and Dawn (Behe) Silves; grandchildren, Hailey Behe, Dominic Silves, Cole Milne and Caden Milne; Great Grandson, Beaux Milne; and many beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; especially longtime friend, Gina Campbell, of Camden, Delaware. Mary loved her Lord, her family, and her friends. No one that met Mary left a stranger. She was always ready with a hug, a witty comment, a shoulder to cry on, a piece of advice, or something special she had baked just for you. She loved being a military wife and was so proud of her husband’s long Air Force career. Her travels as the wife of a soldier helped shape her into the amazing, compassionate woman she was. Her love for her family and friends was unparalleled and brought her such joy. She was always happiest when she was busy “making memories” with her loved ones. She was strong and brave and solid and she instilled all of those same traits in those that were blessed to know her. Mary loved the ocean and was fortunate to be able to retire from Conemaugh Memorial Hospital where she worked in Palliative Care and move to South Carolina with her husband and dog until her recent return to Pennsylvania where she was able to visit more often with her family. Mary was truly the very best wife, mom, Bebe/Grammy, Nunu/Aunt Mary, and friend. We are all so very lucky to have been loved by her. Mary’s last months were spent at Laurelview Village, Healthcare Center, where she was lovingly cared for by many and Mary’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone that cared for her. The family also extends their heartfelt gratitude to Maryann with 365 Hospice for her knowledge, wisdom, and care in Mary’s final hours. Friends will be received Monday, June 17th from 11:30a.m. to 1:30pm at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. Funeral Mass will follow at 2:00 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Geistown. Committal will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
