GORCHESKY (MACRI) – Mary Frances, 91, of Johnstown, died peacefully on December 5, 2023, at Richland Woods. Born October 27, 1932, in Johnstown, the daughter of Joseph and Antonia (Popolo) Macri. Preceded in death by her parents; husband to whom she was married for 50 years, Jospeh J. Gorchesky; brother, Joseph Macri; and sister, Mary Ann Bittman. She is survived by her loving children: Sandra, married to Joseph Scaife; Joseph P., married to Gayle Riffle; and Christine, married to Jack Kujawa; grandchildren: Andrew, Joseph, Matthew, and Eric; great-grandchildren: Gavin, Rylee, and Emersyn; and sisters, Rose Pingatore and Angeline Cekada. She was a devout Catholic and life-member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She retired from Glosser Brothers Department Store and was a life member of the Elks Lodge 175. At the request of Mary Frances there will be no visitation. However, the family is planning on having a funeral Mass at St. Benedict Catholic Church in the spring. The family suggests that donations be made to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Avenue, Windber, PA 15963, in memory of Mary Frances.
