KANUCH – Mary L. 80, Lower Yoder Township, died peacefully in the loving care of her daughter’s home in New Alexandria on February 15, 2019, her Wedding Anniversary. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born July 27, 1938 in Johnstown, daughter of Vincenzo and Rosella (Foust) Biandino. She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 54 years, Joseph “Tony” Kanuch, who she married February 15, 1958; sister, Joanne (Goff); and brother, Jimmy. Dearly beloved mother of her six children, David, married to the former Pam Seidel, Wilmington, NC; Dan, married to the former Kitty Bradley of Johnstown; Rick, married to the former Pam Purazo of Ligonier; Karen, wife of Erik Arlet of Mt. Lebanon; Joe, married to the former Jody Arcuri of Johnstown; and Kristy, married to Chip Wolff of New Alexandria. Also survived by sixteen grandchildren, Josh, Amie, Jim, Brad, Alyssa, Maria, Kara, Kayla, Patrick, Parker, Joseph, Carson, Emma, Natalie, James and Mia; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was a kind and loving soul who cherished her family and friends. She always loved her children visiting and cooking for them. She will be remembered for her “master” baking skills by whom many enjoyed through the years. Mary also had a special creativity for ceramics. She enjoyed attending her children’s and grandchildren’s activities and sporting events. Mary also enjoyed her annual beach trip with her husband and children to Ocean City, NJ. She was proud of her longtime job as a cashier at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital. She was a social member of the Tremont Club. Mary was a longtime devoted member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Church where she faithfully worshiped. Mary will leave a legacy of sweetness, kindness, faith in God and love by all those who knew her. Funeral Liturgy will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, the Rev. Msgr. Raymond Balta. Committal Grandview Cemetery. Friends received Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. at the Francis G.
