Mary Catherine Repak

REPAK - Mary Catherine, 96; Johnstown, passed away on September 18, 2022 at Cambria Care Center. Born January 2, 1926 in Johnstown, daughter of Stephen and Mary Maurer.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, George Repak; sons, Kenneth G. Repak and Thomas M. Repak; and brother, Stephen Maurer.  Survived by loving daughters, Nancy Byer and husband Kevin of Pittsburgh; and Janet Repak of the Cambria Care Center.  Also survived by daughters-in-law, Toni Repak and Cecelia Repak; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  A sister of Helen Lovrich, Martha Todorich; Eleanor Thomas and Thomas Maurer; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Mary was a former Judge of Elections for Lower Yoder Township and former treasurer for Cambria City Community. She enjoyed duck pin bowling and trips to Wheeling Casino playing coin slot machines.  She was a faithful worker, choir singer and member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, where Funeral Liturgy will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Msgr. Raymond Balta.  Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery.  Friends received Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where parastas will be held at 7pm Friday.  The family would like to thank the staff of the Kindred Hospice and Cambria Care Center for their loving and compassionate care.
