TACIK - Mary Kay, 86; passed away Friday, December 6, 2024, at Heritage Ridge Senior Living. Born June 19, 1938, in Johnstown PA, she was the daughter of the late Mary Evanchak and stepfather Erhart Vogle. She graduated from Johnstown High School in 1956 and retired after a long career as an Administrative Assistant with the Securities and Exchange Commission, dedicating many years of service. Mary Kay valued spending quality time with her friends and family and had a particular fondness for seafood dinners. Though she did not have children, she and husband Richard treated their nephews with the same care and affection. She was known for her thoughtfulness, generosity, and kindness. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Carole Vogel, husband Richard Tacik and brother-in-law Francis J. Tacik She is survived by her three nephews, Eric John Tacik and wife Elizabeth of North Carolina, Christian Francis Tacik and wife Christina of Virginia and Marc Richard Tacik and wife Laura of Tennessee; and great nieces and nephews, Morgan, Bradley, Ryan, Anna, Ava, Sierra, Kaytelin, Xander, and Adrienne. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life as she attended church every day until illness prevented her. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, where a Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., the Franciscan Friars OFM Conv. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
