FLEMING - Melvin E., 80; Upper Yoder Twp., passed away on September 4, 2021 at home. Born April 5, 1941 in Windber, PA; son of James A. Sr. and Mable I. (Reighard) Fleming. Preceded in death by parents; and brothers, Clifford, James Jr. and Harry Fleming. Survived by children, Scott W. and wife Terry L. (Mauer) of Conemaugh Twp.; Eric and wife Amy (Moore) of Bentleyville, PA; and Kimberly and husband Thomas Hughes of Johnstown. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Melvin was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Retired Metallurgist for Bethlehem Steel Corp., Franklin Mills. Melvin loved to tell stories, and make people laugh. He was an excellent barber, gardener and spaghetti sauce maker. He was a member of the Polski Dom, VFW Post 155 and American Legion 849. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Broad Street, where funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Dennis Zimmerman. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery, where VFW Post 155 will bestow military honors. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Melvin Fleming.
