Michael W. Czerak

CZERAK – Michael W. “The Hammer”, 61, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Johnstown, passed away August 25, 2025, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Born November 21, 1963, in Johnstown, the son of Donald E. and Margaret (Gritzer) Czerak who preceded him in death. Survived by brother John Czerak (Karen DeRubis) of Johnstown; sister Suzie Catanese (Jim) of Johnstown; Nieces and Nephews, Katie Rigby (Sean), Nick Catanese (Courtney Piro), Danielle Kovac (Andrew), and Jacob Czerak; great nephews, Jackson, Roman, and Grady; great-niece, Ava; and special friend, Amy Fletcher. Michael was a 1981 graduate of Bishop McCort Catholic High School and a 1986 graduate of Penn State University. Michael loved Penn State sports and was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. Michael will be remembered as a fun-loving guy who made friends easily. He will be greatly missed. Friends will be received Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Funeral mass will be held August 29, 2025, at Visitation B.V.M. Parish at 10:00 a.m., Father Sean Code. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
