Michael Lovrich

LOVRICH – Michael “Iron”, 66, died March 14, 2026, at UPMC Presbyterian. Born May 1, 1959, in Johnstown, son of the late Robert S. and Mary (Devich) Lovrich. Preceded in death by parents; in-laws, Julius Sr. and Josephine Gontkovic; sister, Sara Elefterin Bilak; brothers, Charles Lovrich and Robert “Rocky” Ferpas and wife Barb Ferpas; stepsons, Christopher Schuster and Brian Schuster. Survived by loving wife, Beverly (Gontkovic Schuster), and granddaughters, Hailee Janidlo and Chloe Schuster. Also survived by brothers John (Josie) Lovrich, Joe (Cheryl) Ferpas; brother-in-law, Julius Jr. (Nancy) Gontkovic; sister-in-law, Maryann Lovrich; son, Dustin; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. Michael was a machinist at Lockheed Martin Aeroparts, where he worked for 20 years until he retired in 2024. “Iron” was an avid darter, throwing competitively in many leagues over the years. Michael loved vacationing in Ocean City, MD, every September and considered it the highlight of the end of summer. He also loved his motorcycle adventures out in the open air. Whether he traveled near or far, he always treasured those adventures, spending time with his wife and special friends, Jim and Eva. Michael also loved going on cruises; his favorite destination was Alaska. Last, but not least, Michael loved the Pittsburgh Penguins “LET’S GO PENS!” Michael will be sadly missed by his three faithful “pups”, Reuben, Presley, and Luci, and by all who loved him. Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Committal will take place directly after the service at St. Stephen Cemetery.
