Michael Santichen

SANTICHEN – Michael, 76, of Johnstown, died January 16, 2023. Born August 3, 1946, in Johnstown, the son of John Sr. and Julia (Bodensky) Santichen. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, Jr. and Charles.  Survived by his loving wife of 54 years Patricia (Silka) Santichen; sisters-in-law, Cindy Silka and Janet Santichen; and nieces, Susan and Amy; and nephew, Bill.  Also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews. Michael was a Marine Corp Veteran of the Vietnam War.  He retired from Penelec with over 20 years of service.  Michael enjoyed going to casinos, playing the lottery, poker games with the guys at Graystone but mostly he loved his nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., where funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m.  Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery with military honors by Conemaugh Valley Detachment #287 Marine Corps League.
