SKOVENSKY - Michael E. “Skyns”, 59; Johnstown, passed away after long battle with cancer on September 24, 2021. Born March 14, 1962 in Johnstown, son of Edward and Agatha (Pollino) Skovensky. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, John and Robert Skovensky; and brother-in-law, Stephen J. Forgas. He was a beloved husband, father, brother and uncle. Survived by wife, of 21 years, Allison (Forgas) Skovensky and daughters, Hannah (Kaiden), Olivia and Brianna; and sister, Patty (Sean) Fox. Also survived by father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Dolores Forgas; sisters-in-law, Stephanie Skovensky and Kristen (Bill) Stenger; nieces, Molly Fox, Ashley Skovensky and Kaitlyn Svencer (Ashton); nephews, Jonathan Skovensky (fiancée Brittany) and Dylan and Austin Svencer; and numerous cousins. Employee for the Tribune Democrat. Michael was an avid softball player. He loved cooking, spending time with his daughters, nieces and nephews. He was always there to lend anyone a helping hand. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Friends received Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street where Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. the Rev. Scott Lill. Committal will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
