Michael C. Vore

VORE - Michael Charles, 60; of Geistown Borough, died February 28, 2023. Born March 25, 1962 in Johnstown. Preceded in death by his father, Telford Charles Vore.  Survived by his mother, Ilona Elaine (Miller) Dewar; and his beloved wife, of 39 years, Michele (Mateljan) Vore.  Also survived by children, Tiffany Kopriva (Chad); Michael Vore (Kathryn); and grandchildren, Hayden and Lily.  A brother of Douglas Vore (D L Grow), Brian Vore (Nikki), and Jason Vore.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Mike was an avid woodworker and enjoyed hunting, golfing and sport shooting at Daisytown Sportsman Club. He took the time, to work at reloading various ammunition rounds as well. He mostly loved spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren, Hayden and Lily.  He was employed by AmeriServ Bank and is a member of Resurrection Parish.  Friends received Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. Funeral Mass will follow at 12 noon, at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church in Woodvale, the Rev. George M. Gulash.  Committal will take place at St. John Cemetery.  The family would like to thank the following organizations for their assistance and support during his brief illness; Gray Medical Associates, Dr. Awan, UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Veterans Memorial Ambulance, and AmeriServ.
