Mildred "Millie" Boxler

BOXLER - Mildred C., “Mil, Millie”, 100 Johnstown, passed away October 3, 2025 at the Arbutus Park Manor.  Born January 4, 1925 in Johnstown, daughter of Charles Sr. and Catherine (Palm) Boxler.  Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Charles Jr., James and Thomas; sisters, Clara Pudliner; Martha Skovensky (her beloved twin), Ethel Cassidy, Mary Theresa Knipple, Joanne Davies and Margaret “Peggy” (who was Mildred’s caregiver until her passing); nephew and three great nieces.  Survived by brother, Richard Boxler married to Jacqueline; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.  Retired Head Teller for the former Dale National Bank.  Mildred was the primary caregiver for her mother during her 10 year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.  Despite Mildred’s many health issues she went out with her sister Peggy whenever the opportunity arose.  The family would like to thank the entire staff of Arbutus Park Manor and AseraCare Hospice for their exceptional care of Mildred.  They truly treated her like a member of their own family. Friends received from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. Funereal Mass will follow at 1:30 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Very Rev. Matthew B. Baum.  Committal will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Patrick Church, 609 Park Ave., Johnstown, PA 15902; Arbutus Park Manor Benevolent Care Fund, 207 Ottawa St., Johnstown, PA 15904; or AseraCare Hospice 100 CTC Drive, Suite 110, Johnstown, PA 15904.
