Nancy Joan (Skamla) Williams

WILLIAMS – Nancy Joan, 79, of Johnstown, Pennsylvania died May 2, 2024, at Horizons Personal Care Home. Born September 20, 1944, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, she is the daughter of Joseph W. Sr. and Helen (Roman) Skamla. She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Devin Williams; brother, Joseph W. Skamla Jr.; and sisters, Helen Koontz, Gloria Skamla, Leona Tree, and Lilian Skamla. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Bryan George Williams Sr.; children, Bryan George Williams Jr., Susan Marie McKinney married to C. Allan Jr., and Jennifer Lynn Economy married to Brian Scott; grandchildren, Benjamin Economy, Jacob Economy, Hailey Economy, Lauren Burgan married to Tyler, and Jessica McKinney-Ritter married to Stephen; great-grandchildren, Victoria Ritter, Penelope Ritter, Jase Burgan, Skyler Burgan, Evalyn Burgan, and Eli Gonzalez; sister, Mary Compagna married to Nicholas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy enjoyed her job where she worked as a paralegal and later retired after 20 plus years in the field. She loved to play pickleball and was an avid Steelers fan. Nancy also loved being part of her bowling leagues and looked forward to her daily walks with her beloved dog April. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She will be deeply missed by many. Friends will be received Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Funeral service will take place at 11:00AM, Monday, May 6, 2024, at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Pastor Robert Wolf from the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren will be officiating. Committal will follow at Benshoff Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy’s memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
