Nicholas Masoryak, Jr. Obituary

MASORYAK – Nicholas Paul, Jr., 53, of Johnstown, died June 27, 2022, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born July 11, 1968, in Johnstown the son of Bonnie (Dill) Masoryak Madison and the late Nicholas P. Masoryak, Sr.  Nick is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John K. and Bessie P. Dill; and paternal grandparents, John and Mary Mosorjak.  He is survived by his mother, stepfather, Mark “Fred” Madison; sister, Kimberly (Masoryak), married to Mark Thomas; brother, Darren Masoryak and partner, Jean Yakulik; sister, Vicky (Masoryak), married to Robert Lonsinger, Jr.; sister, Christie (Masoryak) married to Ron Haynal; niece, Jocelyn (Lonsinger), married to Dylon Hudson; and great-niece, Carmendy Hudson; niece, Teasha (Thomas), Married to Zachary Brydon; and great-nephew, Bowen; nephews, Nathan Thomas; Jordan Lonsinger; and Bryce Thomas.  Nick was a long time member of the Local 910 Laborers Union Hall and an employee of Quaker Sales, Inc. for 20 years. He was a hard worker who loved his job and co-workers.  Nick was a member at many local clubs including the Band Hall, Croatian Hall, Brownstown Fireman’s Club, and the Russian Club where he held an officer position.  He enjoyed visits with his Uncle Barry and great friends Ken and Jill Oppy.  He loved spending time with his many cousins and loving aunts, including special cousin Joey Masoryak.  Nick would have given the shirt off his back to anyone in need and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  He was a proud member of the Tanneryville community where he was fondly known as the mayor.  Friends will be received Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 2-8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Fr. Francis Balestino officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be directed to Nick’s family where they will distribute them according to Nick’s wishes.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.fgozogfuneralhome.com
