SILEVINAC – Nick, F., 88, of Johnstown, died July 15, 2023, at Windber Hospice. Born September 13, 1934, in Johnstown the son of Joseph and Mary (Sudac) Silevinac. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Florence A. (Sojak) Silevinac; brothers: John, Jospeh, and Francis; sisters: Mary Quinn, Carole Siembak, and Ann Bennett. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survived by nephew, Edward (Bobbie) Siembak; sister-in-law, Gloria (Art) Miller; nephew, Shawn (Diane) Miller and numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends. Nick was a member of Resurrection Parish, US Airforce Veteran, and was retired from the wire mill at Bethlehem Steel after working in brickyard in Oakhurst. He enjoyed eating out, attending auctions and picnics at Resurrection Church grounds. Nick was a very caring and generous person who will be missed by all who knew him. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Resurrection Catholic Church, Fr. George Gulash officiating. Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be directed to West End Ambulance, in memory of Nick. The family would like to thank nurses Sherry, Madison and the staff of Windber Hospice along with West End Ambulance for their assistance transporting Nick.
