Patricia A. Balog

BALOG - Patricia A., 92; Johnstown, passed away on July 8, 2022 at home.  Born March 17, 1930 in Johnstown, daughter of Wilbert E. and Emma J. (Palus) Saintz. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John E. Balog Sr.; brothers, Wilbert D. Saintz, Richard E. Saintz, Edwin Saintz; sisters, Dolores Saintz (Luther), Donna Saintz; and daughter-in-law, Paulette Balog.  Survived by sons, John E. Balog Jr., James G. Balog, Joseph E. Balog, Jeffrey L. Balog, Jerry L. Balog; daughters, Jean M. Livingston and husband William, and Joan M. Shetler.  Also survived by grandchildren, Jamie, Brittney, Shayna, Joey, Ashley, Bryan, Shane, Billy and Jerry; great grandchildren, Ireland, Erin, Colson, Evangeline, Violet, Noah and Brayden; sisters-in-law, Margaret Blough, Joan Balog and Darlene Saintz; brother-in-law, Tom (Lisa) Balog, numerous nieces and nephews and special friend Sister Nancy Kline. Mom loved holidays, and she loved to decorate, bake and cook.  She was the one who bought presents for everyone.  She loved sending cards to all family, neighbors, friends and everyone she met.  Mom loved polkas and dancing every weekend when we were growing up.  She enjoyed company and always welcomed everyone, anytime and any day.  She had the love of church and God like no other. Her love for family was endless. She couldn’t wait for Sundays to spend the day with her daughters’ at one of their houses. She will be greatly missed by all.  Friends received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Broad Street. Funereal Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Brownstown, Father Crookston officiating. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
