Patricia Freidhoff Obituary

FREIDHOFF—Patricia Ann, 80; Conemaugh Township, Cambria County, passed away January 25, 2020.  Born July 17, 1939 in Johnstown, daughter of Michael and Anna (Sprintz) Bolha.  Preceded in death by parents; and loving husband, of whom she longed to return to and be reunited with, Wayne A. Freidhoff. Patty married Wayne, her high school sweetheart in 1961 and they are survived by their children: Anthony W. (Linda), Conemaugh Twp.; Susan M. Kist (Robert), East Taylor Twp.; Scott A. Freidhoff, Conemaugh Twp.; Sandra A. Blinn (Michael), Camp Hill, PA; Timothy G. Freidhoff, Conemaugh Twp.; and Cindy M. LaBar (Lance), Conemaugh Twp.  Also survived by grandchildren, Sarah, Katie and Lydia Freidhoff; Maggie, Quenna and Bobbie Sue Kist; David, Jonathan and Christopher Blinn; Becca and Hannah LaBar; and great granddaughter, Hayden Kelley.  A sister of Jean Barnes (Richard) and Joan Bost (Ronald). A sister-in-law of Walter (Patricia), Delores (Gene), Raymond (Judy), Wilfred (Judy), Herbert (Patricia), and Georgeann.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Patty was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother “Granny”, and great grandmother.  She treasured these roles, and also loved her flower gardens, and her cat “Tootie”.  We’re sure you already have a compost and shovel ready Dad, and good luck talking her out of the roses.  Patty was always selfless, and a true inspiration.  Despite battling severe rheumatoid arthritis most of her life, she never complained or let that stop her from making the most of her life.   We love and will miss her, but we’ll always cherish and embrace the life, memories and example that Patty and Wayne provided us.  Patty was a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital.  Former volunteer at Windber Hospice; Stephen Ministry, and Eucharistic Minister at Conemaugh Hospital.  A member of the former St. Rochus Catholic Church, and member of SS Gregory and Barnabas Catholic Church.  Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gregory Church on Thursday at 1:00 p.m., the Rev. Robert L. Ruston. Committal will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.  Friends received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 500 Budfield St. Johnstown, PA 15904, and to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in memory of Patricia Freidhoff.  Condolences may be sent at fgozogfuneralhome.com
