KOENIG – Patricia A., 76, of Johnstown, died March 27, 2021, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born April 26, 1944, in Johnstown the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Kohler) Siska. Preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Richard Koenig. Survived by her son, Joseph Koenig; daughter, Janice Koenig and her significant other, Jeremy McAfee; grandchildren, Sophia Marie, and Johnathan Thomas McAfee; and sisters, Carolyn, Janet, Dolores, and Deborah. Patricia was a member of St. John Gulabert Cathedral where she enjoyed working with the service group and was fondly referred to as the “mashed potato lady.” She was a graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School and attended Pitt Johnstown where she studied to become a lab technician. She worked at the Red Cross and Somerset Hospital before retiring from Lee Hospital with 25 years of service. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, enjoyed her pets, flowers and gardening. She also enjoyed going to the Senior Center in Richland spending time with her friends. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Wednesday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, the Very Rev. James F. Crookston officiating. Committal to be held at St. Joseph Cemetery.
