GOFF – Phillip G., 69, of Johnstown, died June 20, 2020, at UPMC Shadyside. Born September 5, 1950, in Johnstown the son of William, Sr. and Matilda (Sojak) Goff. Preceded in death by his parents’ and nieces: Michelle Goff; and Yvette Sambuco. Survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Marilyn J. (Weaver) Goff; brothers: William, Jr., married to Marina (Ruddick) Goff, Clovis, CA; and Christopher, Married to Carol (Rivida) Goff, Warren, PA; sister-in-law, Carol, married to Richard Zipfel, Sr., Hooversville; niece: Lisa and Emily Goff, Clovis, CA; nephews: Richard Zipfel, Jr., Middleburg, VA; and William Zipfel, Hooversville. Also survived by special friends and family: Brenda Bracken, Craig Bracken, Michael Bracken, Renae Westerfield and families all from GA; and Jessica and Brielle Maxwell, Johnstown. Phill was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church and was the Choir Technician for the Berkey Church of the Brethren. He was a former employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp., Harvey’s Supply, and Johnstown Hydraulics. An avid bowler, Phill was honored for qualifying 25 consecutive years for the state bowling championships and bowled a 300 game. Phill will be remembered as a loving husband and friend and will be greatly missed. Friends will be received Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street. Funeral Liturgy will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 411 Power St., Johnstown, PA, Monsignor Raymond A. Balta. Committal at Berkey Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
