Richard A. Blaschak

BLASCHAK - Richard A., 78; Johnstown, passed away May 14, 2019, after his long and courageous battle with leukemia.  Born December 29, 1940 in Johnstown, son of Alex and Rose J. (Kriak) Blaschak.  Preceded in death by parents; and beloved wife, Janet M. (Drager) Blaschak.  Survived by loving children; Thomas R. and wife, Kimi S. Blaschak, Dayton, OH; and Cynthia M. Stare, Etters, PA; and grandchildren, Jacob, Jessica, Alexander, Brittney and Dylan.  A brother of James G. Blaschak and wife Donna, Arizona. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and many loving friends. A U.S. Navy veteran. Retired driver for UPS.  An active member of Our Mother Of Sorrows Catholic Church including the Serra Club. Funeral Mass will be held at O.M.O.S., 10:00 a.m. Monday, the Very Rev. Mark S. Begly, VF.  Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery.  Friends received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street.
