Rita Mary (Koenig) Mayercsik

MAYERCSIK (Koenig) – Rita Mary, 90, died April 20, 2021, at Memorial Medical Center. She was the daughter of Henry J. and Ottilia H. (Bittmann) Koenig. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul P. Mayercsik; daughter, Bernardine Razga; brother, Richard Koenig and his wife, Patricia Koenig; and brother-in-law, Tony DiBunono. Survived by her sons, Robert H. married to Joyce (McGreehan), Johnstown; John J. married to Carole (Pinizzotto), North Carolina; and Paul R., married to Karen (Servacek), Delaware; son-in-law, Steve Razga; sister, Mary Ann DiBuono; grandchildren: Alicia Witko, Jocie Goldberg, Jackie Locher, Christie Martinazzi, Sara DelSignore, Kari Namiot, Justin Mayercsik, and Nathan Mayercsik; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Rita was a Benedictine Oblate and member of the former St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and folk singer. Because of her strong Christian faith, Rita raised a faithful daughter and Godly sons.  She was a wonderful caregiver to both her family and friends and always put others before herself. She will be remembered for her loving and selfless acts of kindness.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 2nd  at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, May 3rd, Pastor Ray Streets officiating. Committal will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.
