Rita Ann Ozog

OZOG - Rita Ann., 81; Johnstown, formerly of Brownstown Boro., passed away on January 6, 2026 at Heritage Ridge Senior Living Center.  Born March 3, 1944 in Johnstown, daughter of John M. and Anna (Mrgula) Ozog.  Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Edward J. Ozog and Francis G. Ozog; and sister-in-law, Molly Ozog.  Survived by sister-in-law, Loretta Ozog of Johnstown; and numerous nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews, and cousins.  Rita always had a loving and cheerful demeanor. She enjoyed talking with people and loved visits from family and friends. She was the unofficial greeter at Heritage Ridge, making sure everyone who entered was welcomed with a smile.  A member of Resurrection Parish, where Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., the Rev. George M. Gulash.  Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery.  Friends received Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street.
