Robert David Carothers

CAROTHERS - Robert David, 78; Johnstown, passed away on May 7, 2023 at Allegheny General Hospital.  Born February 25, 1945 in Johnstown, son of Howard and Margaret (Forgacs) Carothers.  Preceded in death by parents; brother, Raymond Carothers; and sisters Patricia Zenino and Margaret Barrett.  Survived by loving wife, of 52 years, Mary Lou (Duranko) Carothers; son, Bob Jr. and his beloved granddaughter, Miah. A brother of Howard Carothers, Mary Duranko, Judy Romando, John Carothers, Susan Zajdel, Rose Robertson and Lynn Koontz.  He was a Corporal with the 103rd Armor PA Army National Guard.  Retired Assembly Man for Miller-Picking Co.  Robert enjoyed cooking, traveling, camping and deep sea fishing.  Friends received Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 noon, at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. Committal will follow at Grandview Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in his memory.
