Rose M. (Calderone) Gyurkovics

GYURKOVICS – Rose M., 95, of Johnstown, died October 16, 2022, at the Villa Crest. Born January 27, 1927, in Johnstown the daughter of Santo and Annette (Calarco) Calderone. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis Gyurkovics; brother, Nunzio Calderone; and sister, Frances Weimer. Survived by her daughter, Danette Gyurkovics, Myrle Beach, SC; and sister Mamie “Mickie” Skrabut, Johnstown. Also survived by nieces, Janie Genovese, Nancy Conahan, and Judy Smith. There will be no visitation for Rose, however; family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service 4 p.m. Friday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street, Fr. Francis Balestino officiating. Private committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery.
