Russell J. Urban

Russell J. Urban, 70, of Harrisburg and formerly of Johnstown, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2023 while holding his beloved wife's hand.
Born on September 19, 1952 in Johnstown, PA to the late Frank L. and Caroline E. (Siembak) Urban.
Russ was a graduate of Bishop McCort High School, Class of 1971.
He was retired from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, having been an assistant liquor store manager.
Russ was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. He loved the outdoors and traveling.
Surviving is his wife of 43 years, Jonniene S. (Klesch) Urban, a sister, Nancy A. Scher and her husband, Kevin M. of White Plains, NY, a niece, Lindsay A. McLoughlin and her husband, Brendan M. of Wheat Ridge, CO, and a nephew, Benjamin F. Scher of Pittsburgh.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 120 Barron Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15906. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown, PA.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. on Saturday in the church.
