Steven Myers Obituary

MYERS – Steven J., 57, Johnstown, passed away December 6, 2021 at UPMC Magee Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.  Born May 29, 1964, in Johnstown, son of Glenn and Patricia (Allison) Myers of South Fork.  Preceded in death by his parents and in-laws.  Survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Brenda (Riek) Myers and daughters Brandi, wife of Matthew Jacobs, Cranberry Township; Samantha, wife of Daniel Prosser, Johnstown; and Maggie, wife of Matthew Moak, Johnstown. After raising 3 daughters, he was absolutely thrilled to have 5 grandsons: Teagan, Grayson, Declan, Alexander and Brady.  He is also survived by his siblings (that were also his very best friends): Carl Myers, Sr. (Sherri), Glenn Myers, Mary Rosenbaum (Kirk), Patti Cameron (Amos), LuAnn Kopco (Dave), Kurt Riek (Sarah) and Joe Riek (Terri).  He was a wonderful uncle to his numerous nieces and nephews.  Steve was a 1982 graduate of Johnstown Vo-Tech.  Steve was an extremely well-loved employee at Martin Baker of America where he received the General Manager’s Award in 2020. Steve was the kindest man and lived a very selfless life taking care of his wife and children.  He loved to be in the woods hunting, on a lake kayaking with his children, camping with his family or riding a trail on his four-wheeler.  Steve will be missed by all who knew him.  At his request, there will not be a viewing.   To protect others during this pandemic, a private service will be held for his family only.
