Teresa (Chiodo) Fisher

FISHER – Teresa, 99, of Johnstown, died June 4, 2023, at LaurelWood Care Center. Born October 24, 1923, in Johnstown the daughter of Orazio and Clara (Reese) Chiodo.   Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Hamil Fisher who was the love of her life; brothers, Felix, Orazio, JR. and Ralph Chiodo; and sister, Geraldine Caddy. She is survived by her children: MaryEllen Fisher; Robert, married to Carol (Zettle) Fisher; and Darlene, married to Duane Mateljan; grandchildren, Duane Mateljan, Jr.; and Darren (Elizabeth) Mateljan; and great-grandchildren, Cortez, Shihaun, and Kylee.  She is the sister of Clara Dudash and John Chiodo. Teresa worked at the Belt Factory and Kay Artley.   The family would like to say thank you to Laurel Wood Care Center, Conemaugh Hospital, and Senior Life on Broad Street for all the care and support they provided during Theresa's illness. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Friends will be received Tuesday from 9 – 10:45 a.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Of Assisi Catholic Church, Franciscan Friars OFM Conv. Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
