Theresa A. (Perry) Oswald

OSWALD – Theresa A., 90, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Johnstown, died July 17, 2022, at UPMC Altoona. Born July 18, 1931, in Johnstown the daughter of Alfred H. and Mary M. (Cannin) Perry. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James J. Oswald; and son-in-law, William Frye.  She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Frye, Jeanette; Lee Ann, wife of James Zabrosky, Johnstown; and Jamie, wife of Dr. Paul Barton, Duncansville; grandchildren: T.J. Klobucar; Perry J. Kaufman; Theresa L. Britt; Allison Barton; and Nathan Barton; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Madison, Bella, Dominic, Ava, and Greyson.  Theresa was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church.  She was a 1950 graduate of Johnstown High School and former longtime employee of Franklin Pediatrics where she was a nursing assistant. She loved playing cards, reading, and cooking but especially spending time with her family who were everything to her. Theresa spent her final years as a resident of the Presbyterian Home in Hollidaysburg. At Theresa’s request there will be no visitation.  However, family and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass 10 a.m. Friday, July 29th at St. Therese Catholic Church. Committal will be held at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to either St. Therese Catholic Church 536 Decker Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15906 or the Presbyterian Home 220 Newry Street,  Hollidaysburg, PA 16648 in memory of Theresa.
