Thomas G. Zakuciya

ZAKUCIYA – Thomas George (“Tom Zack”) 92; of Johnstown, PA died September 4, 2023, at Horizons Personal Care Home.  Born March 10, 1931, in Johnstown, PA the son of Michael and Mary (Repasky) Zakuciya.  Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eva Kathryn (Schilling) (“Fluff”); brother, Nicholas Zakucia (Betty) and sister, Elizabeth Chupko (Joseph); and nephew, Wayne Chupko.  He is survived by his loving children, Michelle M. wife of Ronald M. Devine, Goodyear AZ; Michael T. married to Andrea L. (Gojmerac), Johnstown and Milissa A. Ronayne, West Chester, PA; grandchildren Kaitlyn Givens (Zakuciya) married to Jackson Givens Centennial CO; and Tyler, Zachary and Olivia Ronayne, West Chester, PA.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic church and a member of the choir.  He worked at Bethlehem Steel and in the family business at Hi-Way Hardware & Appliance. He enjoyed singing, golfing, bowling, fishing, traveling, the casinos and woodworking.  Friends received Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, the rev. Msgr. Raymond Balta.  Committal Grandview Mausoleum.
