Vera Cecelia (Martincic) Sturm

STURM - Vera Cecelia, 100, Park Hill, died July 11, 2026. Born September 13, 1925, Daughter of Lewis and Anna (Zgonc) Martincic. Preceded in death by parents; husband Frank in 2011; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lewis (Mary), Felix (Alice), and Rudy. Survived by children Virginia, Riverside, CA; Marjorie (William) Zimmerman, Seward; and Frank, Mineral Point. Also, grandchildren Eric Ressler, Aaron Ressler, William (Lena) Zimmerman, Melissa (Matthew) McKenry and Daniel Sturm; and great-grandchildren Connor, Parker, and Riley McKenry and Joseph Zimmerman.

Vera and Frank were married for over 65 years. They owned and operated Sturm’s Greenhouse for over 40 Years. Vera was a wonderful mother and an excellent cook and baker. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, a longtime member of the Park Hill Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and SNPJ Lodge 254. Friends will be received Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Final viewing will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rev. Bernard Karmanocky O.F.M. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
