Vivian (Kuntz) Transue

TRANSUE (Kuntz) – Vivian, 84, of Johnstown died September 6, 2022.  Vivian was a Greater Johnstown School teacher for more than 38 years. She loved her cats, biking, hiking, organizing art projects and especially shopping.  She loved giving!  She spent countless hours organizing gifts and thinking of others.  Her love of skiing fostered her entire family’s love of the sport.  She loved to brag about any and everything her boys accomplished. Their many accomplishments largely due to her love and support!  She is survived by her son, Bruce, married to Kelly (Felton) Transue; grandchildren: Joshua (Katherine) Transue; Jeremy (Olivia) Transue; Jon Cody (Rachel Doren) Transue; Jennifer (Matthew Benson) Santini; great-grandchildren:  Leia Transue; Arwyn Transue; Hunter Transue; Steele Transue; Vaeda Transue; Soren Benson; and Aksel Benson.  Also survived by much beloved family members: sisters, Janet Haberkorn and Linda Burger; Timothy Haberkorn family; David Haberkorn family; and Christine Limb.  The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to “The Village” that helped care for Vivian in her last few challenged years.  From the many healthcare workers, her best friend, Thorann Novalis, her sister, Janet and the extraordinary staff of the McCullough Place. There will be no visitation for Vivian however, family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Vivian’s Life 10 a.m. Saturday at the Franklin Street United Methodist Church, 510 Locust Street, Johnstown, PA 15901, Pastor Terry Knipple officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to 4 Footed Friends, 220 Beck Road, Indiana, PA 15701, in memory of Vivian.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.fgozogfuneralhome.com
