DROSJACK - Walter, 77, of Johnstown died February 27th, 2026, peacefully at Canterbury Place Hospice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Born June 6th, 1948, in Johnstown, Walter was the son of Walter and Ann (Warchola) Drosjack. He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine (Hirupsky) Drosjack whom he married in 1998 after the passing of his wife Judith Ann (Miller) Drosjack in 1996. He was also preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children Robert Drosjack and Debra Grove and his grandchildren (Rebekah Drosjack, Ray Drosjack, Alex Grove and Hanna Grove), his siblings (Stephen Drosjack, Jerry Drosjack and Rosemary Tay) and numerous extended family and friends. Walter graduated from the University of Pittsburgh as an engineer with a passion for science and mathematics but also had a passion for music. Walter played in a band when he was in his college days, playing the saxophone. This is where he met his first wife, Judy. After 26 years of marriage, Judy passed away and shortly after Walter was re-acquanted with a friend from his childhood days, Cate and they formed a special bond and eventually got married. Walter and Cate enjoyed life together, travelling to Italy to visit with Cate’s family (who lovingly welcomed Walt as their own), moving to various cities for Walt’s work, and enjoyed the finer things in life like soaking in sunsets at the beach. Friends and family will be received Tuesday, March 3rd from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 4th at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc, Johnstown, PA, Pastor Jack Wilson presiding. Committal will follow at the Grandview mausoleum.
