MESNAK - Walter W., 86; Westmont Boro., passed away on February 16, 2023 at home. Born November 25, 1936 in Johnstown, son of Thomas and Catherine (Grassa) Mesnak. Preceded in death by parents; and brothers, Francis, Thomas and Joseph Mesnak. Survived by loving wife, Joan (Niel) Mesnak of Westmont; brothers, Edward Mesnak of Johnstown; Rudolph Mesnak of Delaware; and sister-in-law, Agnes Mesnak of Johnstown. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Retired employee for Republic Steel and Bethlehem Steel Corp. A member of the former St. Rochus Church; member of Resurrection Parish, and C.F.U. Lodge #5. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bus trips with Bill and Sally. Friends received on Sunday, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m., the Rev. David S. Peles. Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery. The family would like to thank Conemaugh Hospice, including Caroline, Bethann, Sue and Pastor Yates, for their kind and compassionate care.
