Walter Wozniak Obituary

WOZNIAK – Walter, of Windber, formerly of Johnstown, died January 5, 2022, at his residence. Born December 23, 1956 in Johnstown the son of Walter, Sr. and Mary (Kochjar) Wozniak. Preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his brothers, Richard, married to Deborah (Foster) Wozniak; and Ronald, married to Denise (McDowell) Wozniak; nephews, Aaron, Jared and Evan (Nicole) Wozniak; and niece, Lauren (Kenneth) Pearce. Walt was a 1974 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School and the Pittsburgh Institute of Culinary Arts. He loved to cook and worked at various restaurants in the Johnstown area. Walt loved to create ethnic dishes, go to local festivals where he would enjoy dancing and listening to bands. Walt was a kind and generous man that was a friend to all and will be deeply missed. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street. Committal will take place at St. Stephen’s Church Cemetery. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that you plant a tree in memory of Walt.
