SEKERAK – William J., 70, of Johnstown, died unexpectedly and without apparent illness while sleeping. He was born June 9, 1953, in Johnstown, the son of William and Dolores (Longbotham) Sekerak. Preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his partner of 20+ years, Linda Moore; brother, Donald Sekerak; sister, Nancy Sekerak; and nephew, Nathan Sestrich and wife Connie, all of Johnstown. Also survived by his beloved golden retriever, Lucky. Bill was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and member of the American Legion Post 849. He was a former employee of Bethlehem Steel, Freight Car America, and Labor Union 910 of Johnstown. Bill was selfless and passionate in his support of the local American Legions and represented for the Richland American Legion Honor Team. He was compassionate to people’s needs, supportive of friends in need, and selfless in his support. Words cannot justify his generosity. At Bill’s request a private ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc.
