KMETT - William, 72; Johnstown, passed away at home, August 21, 2022. Born June 7, 1950 in Johnstown, son of Frank “Fritz” and Victoria (Kivon) Kmett. Preceded in death by parents; and brother-in-law, Paul Miller Sr. Survived by daughter, Brandi J. Kmett; former wife, Deborah Allison; sister, Barbara Miller; cousins, John “Butch” and Stephanie Kmett; nephew, Paul Miller Jr. and his wife Mary and their daughter, Mackenzie. A U.S. Navy veteran, serving on the USS Manley DD940. Bill was retired HVAC Technician at the Hirim G. Andrews Center and former employee of Conemaugh Blacklick Railroad. A lifelong member of the AmSlo Club. He played Horseshoes at the Conemaugh PNA; Played for many years in the Ray Kritz Memorial Pool League, and was on the 2022 Championship Team. He enjoyed motorcycle and quad riding, camping and fishing and casino trips. He also enjoyed working in his yard and garden, and always had his beloved pets, “Luna”, “Whiskey”, and “Hank” by his side. A member of St. John Gualbert Cathedral, where Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, the Very Rev. Matthew B. Baum. Committal will follow at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, where Conemaugh Valley Detachment, Marine Corp. League 287 will provide honors.
