RAGER – William G., Jr., 90, of Johnstown passed away at home on February 21, 2022. Born December 24, 1931, to the late William G., Sr. and Erma L. (Harpster) Rager. Preceded in death by son, Kevin Rager; sisters, Ellen (Rager) Yuran; Marjorie L (Rager) Yerty; brother, Charles G. Rager. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty Lou (Rovan) Rager; daughter, Kathleen C. married to William Hill; sons: Brian married to Judy Ann (Grego) Rager; Carl, married to Janet (Coakley) Rager; and Roger, married to Regina (Schultz) Rager; 11 Grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Michele (Lopez) Rager; and brother, James married to Sharon (Jones) Knauer. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Bill was retired from Bethlehem Steel after 30 years of service. He was a lifelong member of Bowserdale United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Church Men’s Breakfast Club. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday Pastors Marge Kiefer and Cleo A. Carr officiating. Interment will be held at Benshoff Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank Conemaugh Hospice team for the compassionate care they gave to Bill. In lieu of flowers donations can be directed to Bowserdale United Methodist Church or your favorite charity in memory of Bill.
