STAHL III– William Henry, also known as “Willy”, “Wheeler” and “Bill”, 83, of Johnstown, died December 4, 2023, at Windber Woods Senior Living and Rehab Center. Born February 15, 1940, in Johnstown, he is the son of William H. Stahl Jr. and Grace L. (Penn) Stahl. He is preceded in death by parents; brother, Clifford A. Stahl. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Shirley A. (Lepter) Stahl; brothers, Richard (Cathy) Stahl and Terry (Barbara) Stahl; sisters-in-law, Caroline (Clifford) Stahl, and Gertrude (Rudolph) Steinbring; and brother-in-law, Richard (Priscilla) Lepter. William was a loving uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. William always had a passion for cars and trucks. He enjoyed watching NASCAR every Sunday and especially enjoyed watching the Indianapolis 500. As a young man he began to manage local service stations. He then went on to work at Quaker Sales for 21 years, Waste Management, assisted with snow removal, managed Horner Street Auto, and was a member of the Truckers Association. William loved reading daily scripture and was a member of Westmont Baptist Church. William was a devoted, loving, and faithful husband, son, brother, and uncle. He will truly be missed by many. Friends will be received Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Funeral Service will be held at 10 am Friday, December 8, 2023, at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Rev. Michael VanDyke (Pastor of Zion Lutheran) and Pastor Gary Kline (Pastor of Westmont Baptist Church) officiating. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of William at www.stjude.org.
