ZDRAVECKY- William, 94, of Johnstown, passed away on December 1, 2025. Born August 16, 1931, in Johnstown, the son of Bela and Josephine (Jurisin) Zdravecky. Preceded in death by parents; siblings, Stephen Zdravecky, Anna Zdravecky, Helen Bachik, Josephine Svitchan, Albert Zdravecky, and George Zdravecky. William was the last surviving member of his immediate family. William is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Betty Jean (Puzak) Zdravecky; children, Bonnie Foltz married to Wade, and David Zdravecky; grandchildren, Amanda (Will) Kane, Ryan (Juliane) Foltz, and Brad (Ashley) Foltz; great-grandchildren, Liam, Blake, Rhett, Hudson, and Sofia; and numerous nieces and nephews. William was a proud United States Veteran who served our country during the Korean War with the 187th A.R.C.T. 3rd Battalion P. & A. Platoon. William was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, the Presidential Unit Citation, Parachutist Badge, and the Glider Badge. After his time in the military, William worked at Bethlehem Steel until his retirement. William was a loving and generous soul. He loved spending his time with his family and woodworking. William was a member at St. Stephens/Resurrection Parish, where he took pride in ringing the bells for 20 years. William was also a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society. William was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will truly be missed by many. Friends will be received on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. Funeral mass will follow at Resurrection Parish at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2025, Rev. George M. Gulash. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery with military honors presented by the Conemaugh Valley Det. 287 Marine Corps League Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of William to Resurrection Parish.
