Zelda "Jean" (Rose) Trohanowsky

TROHANOWSKY—Zelda J. “Jean” 91; Johnstown, passed away March 21, 2020 at Conemaugh Hospital.  Born October 18, 1928 in Johnstown, daughter of Thomas D. and Goldie M. (King) Rose.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Andrew Trohanowsky; brothers Charles Rose, Robert Rose, and Thomas Rose; and sisters, Betty Hropovich and Dorothy Driscoll.  Survived by loving children, Andrew T. married to the former Francine Winogrodzki, Baltimore, MD; Barbara J. married to Larry S. Mattes, Johnstown; David S. Trohanowsky, Pasadena, MD; Denise M. married to John Schropp, Johnstown; and Raymond S. married to the former Angela Ryan, Franklin, NJ.  Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.  A sister of Eva “Sadie” Domen, Johnstown; and Alfred Rose, Litchfield Park, AZ.  She was co-owner of the former Health Shoe Store in Johnstown.  A member of Cambria City Community Club, S.O.A.R., Voters Hall of Fame and Democratic Committee Woman in Lower Yoder voting polls.  She was an avid BINGO Player and duck pin bowler at Striker’s Bowling League; and an accomplished candy maker.  A member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church.  The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Atrium Manor for making Jean’s stay so special and loving.  Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery.  A memorial service will be planned for a later time.  Arrangements by Francis G.
